Regional Climate Change Workshops. The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and the U.S. Global Climate Change Research Program are sponsoring a series of workshops to examine the vulnerabilities of various regions of the United States to climate variability and climate change and to gather information across regions to support national scientific assessment (called for in the Global Change Research Act of 1990). Eighteen workshops with the full involvement of relevant stakeholders are being held in different regions of the country.
