Countries Of Africa

Purpose:

To practice basic map skills and to review the geography of Africa.

Materials:

Map: Countries of Africa

Worksheet: Countries of Africa

Suggested Activities:

Using available maps, have students work in pairs to label the map of Africa, and complete "Something to Think About." Locate Ghana, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, Botswana and Senegal.

Distribute copies of the vegetation and rainfall maps. Have students transfer the rainfall and vegetation information about West Africa onto their maps.
